HikMicro Thunder 3.0 Clip-On TQ35C Thermal Riflescope (without reticle)

If you want to perceive well in low light, the HikMicro Thunder 3.0 Clip-On TQ35C thermal imaging viewer (without reticle) offers a solution. As a clip-on, you simply click it in front of an existing scope, so you view the thermal image through your own viewer. Behind that image is a 640x512p sensor with a pixel pitch of just 12 µm; because the pixels are so close together, you get a finely detailed image. This comes with a thermal sensitivity (NETD) of only 15 mK — a value so low that even tiny temperature differences are picked up and your target stands out clearly from the surroundings.

The display runs via a spacious OLED screen of 1920x1080 pixels, which shows every detail sharply through your scope. With a refresh rate of 50 Hz, you watch smoothly and relaxed. For varying conditions, you switch between different color modes:

• Red hot
• White hot
• Black hot
• Green monochrome
• Red monochrome

The objective measures 35 mm in diameter and at 100 meters the TQ35C delivers a field of view of 21.9x14 meters. Because the thermal sensor has a range up to 1800 meters, you observe what is happening there even over considerable distance.

Besides observing, you also take photos and record videos with this viewer, with sound. Buttons on top of the housing work conveniently for the camera function, and there is also a recoil-activation function: as soon as the Thunder 3.0 Clip-On feels recoil, a short recording automatically starts, automatically recording each shot. Everything goes into the internal memory of 64 GB, and via the Hotspot function you easily transfer your recordings to your smartphone. Want someone to watch along? With the stream function you effortlessly share the image to a second screen.

In terms of construction, the TQ35C weighs only 460 grams and is equipped with an IP67 certification. Dust does not get in, and submersion to one meter deep for a maximum of 30 minutes, it handles without problem. Power is provided by a rechargeable and replaceable Li-ion battery that lasts about six hours. A common choice for those who want to make their existing scope suitable for use in the dark.
