As an attachment for an existing scope, the HikMicro Thunder 2.0 Clip-On TE19C gives you thermal imaging capability without having to replace your optics. The unit weighs just 499 grams without battery and features M52 x 0.75 threads, allowing it to be combined with various adapters. The thermal sensor measures 256x192 pixels with a pixel pitch of 12 µm, and thanks to an NETD of less than 35 mK, the sensor delivers exceptionally detailed thermal images. These images appear on a 1024x768 OLED display of 0.39 inches, with a smooth frame rate of 50 Hz. The detection range of the thermal sensor reaches up to 1000 meters, making it suitable for long-distance use.
Recording can be done in two ways: manually via buttons on top of the device, or automatically via recoil-activated recording. With this latter function, the clip-on detects recoil at the moment of firing and automatically captures a short video with audio — convenient for anyone wanting to review every shot. Internal storage is 16 GB eMMC. If you have the free HikMicro Sight app on your phone, photos and videos are also sent wirelessly to your device.
Via the HikMicro Sight app you can manage the settings of the thermal imager remotely and review recorded footage. After a one-time pairing, the connection is easy to maintain.
Power comes from a Li-ion battery that lasts up to 10 hours on a full charge. When the battery runs out, you can simply swap it or recharge it. For extended use, you can put the device in standby mode via the buttons on top. There are five buttons in total, each with their own functions:

• Hold down: On/off.
Mode button:
• Short press: Switch between color modes (white hot, black hot, red hot, fusion).
Capture/Record button:
• Short press: Take a photo.
• Hold down: Start/stop video recording.
• Functionality in the (quick) menu: Move cursor up.
Menu button:
• Short press: Go to the quick menu.
• Hold down: Go to the expanded main menu or exit the menu.
• Functionality in the (quick) menu: Confirm selection.
Display button:
• Short press: Show or hide detailed information on screen.
• Functionality in the (quick) menu: Move cursor down.
As for robustness, the HikMicro Thunder 2.0 Clip-On TE19C is recoil-resistant and completely waterproof thanks to IP67 certification. This means the device is completely dustproof and can be submerged up to a maximum depth of one meter for 30 minutes — a solid foundation for use in demanding conditions.
