HikMicro Explorer E20Plus Thermal Camera

Want thermal imaging directly from your phone? The HikMicro Explorer E20Plus thermal camera is built for that. Via the USB-C port on top you connect it directly to your device, after which you can capture thermal images and videos with it. It's certainly compact: with dimensions of 26.6x26.6x27.2 mm and a weight of just 26 grams you hardly have to worry about it, and power consumption remains limited to 360 mW. A handy entry point for those who want to get started mobile.

The heart of the camera is a sensor with a resolution of 256x192, a pixel pitch of 12 µm and an NETD below 50 mK. This combination picks up even the smallest temperature differences and displays them in detail. Video runs smoothly thanks to a frame rate of 50 Hz, and the detection range extends up to 970 m, so thermal contrast remains clearly visible even from a distance.

Before you start, download the free HikMicro Sight app, which you can only find on Android. Once everything is set up, your recordings appear immediately in the app and you can adjust both the contrast and brightness there via a slider with a range of 0 to 100. Focusing is done manually: there's a focus ring on the front with which you can sharpen the image precisely.
