A striking feature is the anti-friction coating applied to each projectile. This coating reduces resistance in the barrel, allowing the slug to leave the barrel at higher velocity. At the same time, the coating virtually prevents lead deposits in the barrel — which benefits shot consistency. Moreover, the coating colors the projectiles bright yellow, so the bullet trajectory during flight can be easily followed. This makes correcting follow-up shots in, for example, wind much easier.
