The FX Hybrid slugs in 5.5 mm / 22 grain combine the advantages of a classic diabolo pellet with those of a slug in one projectile.

Traditional diabolo pellets conform well to the rifling and lands of the barrel and have low friction due to their small contact surface. The downside is a low ballistic coefficient: they lose speed quickly and are sensitive to wind.

Slugs offer a clear advantage in that regard — their higher ballistic coefficient ensures better speed retention. But due to their weight and large contact surface, considerably more power is needed to shoot them.

The FX Hybrid solves this dilemma with a clever design: the external dimensions are those of a slug with high ballistic coefficient, but the projectile is completely hollow and has a hollowed-out base. This keeps the weight low and creates a contact surface with a good balance between sealing and friction.

The result is a flatter trajectory than with conventional pellets, less wind influence, and better energy transfer at distance. The hollow point also provides strong expansion on impact — a common choice for shooters who engage at longer distances.
