You ignite it via the wire pull system: after a burn time of just one second, the grenade kicks in and then produces purple smoke for approximately 30 seconds (± 10 seconds). This smoke is harmless and the casing also doesn't burden the environment, as it is completely biodegradable. A common option for airsoft and signaling use.
