Versatile in use: thanks to the magnification range of 5 to 30x, the Vector Optics Continental 5-30x56 VCT-34FFP Tactical MIL lets you engage targets both at close range and at considerable distance. The reticle is shock-resistant etched in the first focal plane, which means the MIL (MRAD) markings retain their value at every magnification. You use them to calculate distances, and anyone who needs to aim higher or lower uses the same marking at every magnification — convenient and reliable.

Adjustment is in increments of 0.1 MRAD. For elevation you have 26 MRAD of adjustment range available, for windage 16 MRAD. A zero-stop on the elevation turret gets you back to your zero point quickly, and because both turrets are lockable, you'll never accidentally adjust anything while handling the scope.

Fogging in fluctuating temperatures is not a problem: the scope is filled with nitrogen. The lenses are made of extra low dispersion glass with a fully multi-coated finish, providing excellent light transmission and a clear, high-contrast image. Furthermore, the Continental 5-30x56 meets the IPX6 standard and is therefore waterproof — submersion at one meter depth for half an hour won't harm it.

On the side focus knob you'll also find the reticle illumination control; you can adjust that red illumination in six brightness settings. If you wear glasses or have a vision correction need, you can correct for it with the diopter adjustment from +2 to -3.
