Vector Optics Continental 1-8x24 Riflescope

The Vector Optics Continental 1-8x24 is a rifle scope with ED-glass (Extra-low Dispersion) and fully multi-coated lenses. This delivers sharp, true-to-color images across the entire field of view. The objective measures 24 mm in diameter and the light transmission is 93% — more than sufficient for good observation in twilight conditions as well.

The housing is made from matte black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum, which provides excellent corrosion resistance. Complemented by an IP67 rating, the scope is capable of withstanding submersion to one meter depth for 30 minutes without water ingress. Internally, the scope is completely filled with nitrogen, preventing fogging of the internal lenses.

The reticle is the German #4-type, positioned on the second focal plane (SFP). A red illuminated dot with eleven brightness levels ensures visibility against varying backgrounds. Power comes from a CR2032 battery, which is inserted in the turret on the left side; via that same turret you switch between brightness levels. Elevation and windage turrets offer a maximum adjustment of 140 MOA, with each click — distinctly audible — corresponding to 1/2 MOA.

The magnification range runs from 1x to 8x. At 1x magnification, the field of view is 41 meters at 100 meters distance; at maximum magnification of 8x, it is 5.1 meters. A versatile choice for sport shooters who want to work at both short and medium ranges.
