Element Optics HYPR-7 7x50 Riflescope

What sets the Element Optics HYPR-7 7x50 apart is its digital reticle: you get all the benefits of a classic rifle scope, but you decide which information appears on the display. HYPR-7 is short for HYbrid Precision Riflescope, where "hybrid" refers to the combination of analog and digital that together delivers sharp results. The housing is built to withstand harsh conditions: shock-resistant, waterproof and filled with nitrogen, so no condensation occurs.

With an objective diameter of 50 mm, the scope lets in plenty of light. Even in twilight, you therefore retain enough light transmission to see at distance. ED glass (extra-low dispersion) ensures a crystal-clear image. Magnification goes up to seven times and the eye relief to the ocular is 45 mm, bringing you close to the action. You adjust parallax via the turret on the left side, adjustable from six yards to infinity, and with the diopter you get the digital reticle razor-sharp.

For that reticle you have a choice of multiple variants; if you want something unique, you design your own reticle and upload it to the scope. This is done via the free Element Ballistics app on your smartphone. That app controls various settings of the HYPR-7, so you get the most out of it. An example is the automatic time-out: after a set time, the scope switches itself off to save power. But even keeping it on continuously, it runs for quite a long time — on a single standard AAA battery (not included) it easily runs for several days.

And that despite the many active systems that communicate with the ballistic calculator: a clinometer, a barometer, a thermometer and even a hygrometer. Each one necessary to prepare the ideal shot. Based on all this data, the digital reticle displays the calculated point of impact — via a blinking dot or by shifting the entire reticle, whatever your preference. On top sits a Weaver/Picatinny accessory rail, for example for a rangefinder.

Included with delivery is a mount that you easily place on a Weaver/Picatinny scope rail. This mount has a slightly hollow curve and you freely adjust the scope on that slope, which also makes the HYPR-7 suitable for long-range shooting. MOA markings are printed on the mount.
