Vector Optics Frenzy-X GenII Multi-Reticle Solar Power Red Dot

Aiming with clarity and a sharp image: that's what the Vector Optics Frenzy-X GenII Multi-Reticle Solar Power red dot is built on. At its heart is an aspherical lens that focuses incoming light to precisely one point. The result is that spherical aberration — the distortion and blur along the edges of the red dot — is kept to a minimum. The multi-coating on the lens then provides clear colors and a crisp image. Installation is on a Weaver/Picatinny mounting base, so the red dot can be attached to virtually any accessory rail without hassle.

Multi-Reticle
At the basis of this Frenzy-X GenII from Vector Optics lies the Multi-Reticle System (MRS). With it, you choose how the reticle is displayed:
• the circle and the dot together
• only the outer circle of the reticle
• only the dot, with a point size of 3 MOA
For brightness, eleven levels are available: nine settings for daylight and two for night vision, so you can handle virtually any lighting situation. Adjustment is in 1 MOA increments with a clearly audible click, so you hear exactly how much you've adjusted; the total adjustment range is 45 MOA.

Efficient battery usage
On top sits a small solar panel that provides power to the illuminated reticle. If you're shooting indoors, a CR2032 battery takes over that task; you replace it from the side, so the red dot can stay on the accessory rail and re-zeroing is not necessary. At the lowest brightness level, that battery gets you a battery life of 50,000 hours, partly thanks to a motion sensor that limits consumption. If nothing happens for two minutes, the red dot shuts itself off; a brief movement back and forth brings it back to life. This keeps usage simple and economical at the same time.

Housing
For the housing, a 7075 T6 aluminum alloy was chosen, a material that handles impact well. Additionally, there is an IPX7 rating against water: submerged up to one meter deep and for a maximum of 30 minutes, the Frenzy-X GenII stays dry inside. A solid choice for shooters who want to use their red dot even under rougher conditions.
