With 8 adjustable brightness levels, the dot remains visible in both bright sunlight and dark conditions.
As for reliability: the IPX6 rating means the Frenzy RD can withstand submersion up to one meter deep for 30 minutes — rain and humid conditions are therefore no problem at all. The red dot is also suitable for use on heavier calibers, including 9 mm, .45, .338 and 12 gauge. A built-in motion sensor automatically turns off the dot after 2 minutes of inactivity, which greatly extends battery life: one battery lasts up to 40,000 hours.
