Element Optics Helix 1500 Ballistic Rangefinder

Looking for a lightweight rangefinder that you can easily take along on long hikes? The Element Optics Helix 1500 is lightweight, sits comfortably in your hand and is intuitive to operate. Via Bluetooth you connect it to the Element Ballistics app, and it also connects to the HYPR-7 riflescope. Once the two are paired, they share the same measurement data to work together to determine the predicted point of impact. For shooters who want their riflescope and rangefinder to work together, this is a logical combination.

The range is, not for nothing in the name, 1500 meters. You look through a fixed 6x magnification with a field of view of 12.3 meters at 100 meters, while the 22 mm objective provides decent light transmission. This allows you to observe comfortably and maintain sufficient overview. What you see in the image and the associated measurement values appear on the dual colour T-OLED display: a green indicator shows that the laser is active, while angle and distance are displayed in red. Using the button on top, you switch between the available modes:
• HCD – Horizontal Component Distance: measures only the horizontal distance to the object.
• BALC – Ballistic Calculator: shows the ballistic calculation for the point of impact alongside the LOS, displayable in MOA, MRAD, inches or cm.
• LOS – Line of Sight: gives the actual distance to the object.

If you hold the mode button for 3 seconds, you switch between First and Last mode. In First mode, the Helix 1500 registers the distance to the nearest object; if you accidentally miss and the laser hits a tree further away, it will continue to show the distance to that nearest object. Last mode works the opposite way and only displays the farthest registered object.

With a weight of just 150 grams and a length of 100 mm, this rangefinder takes up hardly any space in your equipment and you can easily carry it with you. The housing is weather-resistant and has a rough texture on the top and bottom for extra grip.
