For daily use, the SOG Tellus ATK Black Orange pocket knife is a solid choice — compact, functional and easy to operate with one hand. You open the blade via the thumb stud or the flipper on the blade, after which the frame lock holds the blade firmly locked in place. The blade is made from 440C steel, a material known for its high hardness, good wear resistance and strong corrosion resistance. Thanks to these properties, the cutting edge stays sharp for a long time and sharpening is rarely needed — a knife that requires little maintenance.
The handle scales are constructed from GRN (glass-reinforced nylon), a lightweight material with solid hardness that can withstand impacts and rough use. Moisture has little effect on GRN, so you can use this knife outdoors without any problems. Between the two scale parts are steel liners that reinforce the construction. The handle also features a pre-formed finger groove for better grip, and a carrying clip with which you can easily attach the knife to your trouser pocket.
