Het SOG Adventurer LB Dusk Purple is een lichtgewicht zakmes met een back lock vergrendeling — een beproefde en betrouwbare sluitmethode die het mes stevig op zijn plek houdt tijdens gebruik. Voor het lemmet gebruikt SOG 5CR15MOV staal met een hardheid van 54 HRC. Dat is voldoende om de snijrand langdurig scherp te houden, terwijl het staal makkelijk bij te slijpen blijft. De titanium nitride coating zorgt voor extra slijtbestendigheid, en het staal is van zichzelf al goed bestand tegen vlekken en roest.
De schalen van het handvat zijn vervaardigd uit GRN (glass-reinforced nylon), een materiaal dat licht weegt maar tegelijk stevig genoeg is voor zwaarder gebruik. GRN is van nature vochtbestendig, wat dit mes ook geschikt maakt voor gebruik buitenshuis in wisselende omstandigheden.
