When it comes to the blade, Kershaw chose 4Cr14 steel, which is highly resistant to corrosion. Both the blade and handle received a BlackWash coating: a black oxidation layer goes on first, which then gets a weathered, used look via stonewashing.
The charm of the design lies mainly in its simplicity. Sleek and with rounded shapes, the handle feels great in your hand. It's made from stainless steel and with a thickness of 10.7 mm provides such a solid foundation that liners could be omitted.
