Bore Tech's Proof-Positive patch adapters deliberately use a different material than brass. The advantage: the adapter leaves no material residue on your cleaning patch or jag, something that regularly occurs with standard brass versions. This makes the cleaning result more reliable.
You secure a cleaning patch by piercing it centrally onto the tip. For more coverage, wrap the patch around the knurled section of the adapter.
For caliber .17, this adapter has 5/40" external threads; for all other calibers it is 8/32" external threads. A handy basic necessity for those who maintain their firearms properly.
