Precision Armament's Hypertap muzzle brake 'slim' in black is a muzzle brake designed for a high degree of recoil reduction. On the top and bottom sides are six pre-drilled holes that must be oriented straight up and down during installation — they can be further drilled as needed to compensate for muzzle rise or weapon rotation. This allows you to customize the Hypertap to your specific weapon and achieve optimal balance between recoil impulse and muzzle rise, enabling you to keep the target in view better.

Installation is via a lock ring, so you don't need to install shims to get the brake aligned straight. After attachment, the walls of the four gas ports point horizontally to both sides, at a rearward angle of 35 degrees. This angle ensures that ejected particles are not blown in the direction of the shooter.

The difference between the 'slim' version and the standard Hypertap lies solely in the dimensions. The smaller size reduces weight by up to 40 percent — good for 50 grams, depending on the caliber. Precision Armament indicates that this is accompanied by a performance loss of approximately three percentage points. In practice, you'll barely notice that difference; the effect is mainly visible in the weight and compact appearance of the muzzle brake.
