With the real MG42, such a belt was essential — the airsoft version works with a drum magazine, but without an ammunition belt the replica lacks much of its character. The belt is purely decorative and has no function in the shooting mechanism, but it clearly adds visible realism to the whole setup. With a length of 840 mm and a weight of 755 grams, it has the right proportions. The belt is made of steel; the dummy rounds are made of synthetic material.
