With the Vector Optics adapter you combine an 11 mm dovetail rail and Weaver/Picatinny mounts. The construction height is only 5 mm, which keeps your optics mounted low on the weapon.
The set consists of two aluminium adapter plates, each 38 mm long, with a matte black finish. Together the two parts weigh just 22 grams — a common choice for those wanting to save weight without sacrificing rigidity.
Installation is as follows: slide the plates apart via two rods and clamp them onto the dovetail rail. By then clamping the Weaver/Picatinny mount, the adapter tightens itself firmly onto the rail. After that you secure the locking screws definitively.
Each adapter plate has a stop screw that prevents shifting from recoil.
