Het cantilever-ontwerp zorgt voor voldoende verzet, zodat je je richtkijker op de juiste oogafstand kunt plaatsen. Als eendelig geheel biedt de montage een hoge stijfheid en een ruim klemmend oppervlak op de Weaver/Picatinny rail.
De flenzen zijn voorzien van zes torx bouten en diagonaal geplaatst, waardoor de Wheeler MSR Cantilever 30 mm Picatinny montage smal van bouw kon blijven. Dat vrijgekomen ruimte is benut voor een ingebouwde uitklapbare waterpas — handig hulpmiddel om je draadkruis nauwkeurig waterpas te stellen.
