For mounting on Weaver/Picatinny rails, the Wheeler 34 mm High Picatinny mount is a common choice among sport shooters. The clamping screw with which you secure the mount also serves as a stop pin — this keeps the mount in place even with recoil.
High-quality aluminium ensures that the Wheeler 25.4 mm High Picatinny mount is lightweight. The two halves connect diagonally to each other, which allowed the flanges to be executed slenderly with six torx bolts. This same construction provides space for the fold-out spirit level that is built into the mount.
With that spirit level you keep the crosshair — and with it the rifle itself — truly straight. Especially at longer distances, a correctly aligned sight scope makes a noticeable difference to accuracy.
