The Tungsten hammer is a replacement part for the FX Impact M3 and offers a direct upgrade compared to the standard hammer. Due to the longer valve release that this hammer causes, more compressed air is released with every shot — resulting in a stronger propulsion of the projectile through the barrel.
The material makes the difference: tungsten has a density that is 1.7x higher than that of steel, making the hammer considerably heavier than the original. That extra weight keeps the valve open longer. Especially when shooting heavier slugs, this is a common choice for shooters who want to get more out of their M3.
