With the Wiley X Ovation – Captivate Polarized Blue Mirror Lenses – Matte Slate Frame you get a robust yet lightweight pair of glasses. The frame is made of trilobed nylon: an exceptionally durable material that weighs almost nothing, so you can wear the glasses comfortably for long periods. The lenses are made of unbreakable selenite polycarbonate and can – like the rest of the glasses – withstand a lot. They have a blue tint, give green tones more fullness and reduce glare. In addition to the more vibrant image, the lenses also come with a series of filters and coatings:

• Polarized filter: glare, or horizontal light, occurs as soon as vertical light hits a glossy surface – think of water, a wet road or a windscreen. This glare is harmful to your eyes and obstructs your vision. The polarized filter blocks horizontal light and allows only vertical light through.

• Captivate lens technology: filters out harmful light and enhances colors and contrast, while keeping everything crystal clear.

• T-Shell coating: a scratch-resistant layer that protects the lenses against damage and extends their lifespan.

• Oleophobic coating: dust, dirt, oil and water do not grip the lens and therefore do not smear across it. You can wipe your glasses clean effortlessly.

• Anti-reflective coating: prevents light reflections from forming on the back of the glasses.

The set includes two types of side panels: a permanent and a removable version. Whenever conditions require it, those panels shield your eye corners from harmful sun rays. The removable version is easy to attach and just as easy to remove; the permanent panels are fixed in place after installation.
