With the Wiley X Kingpin – Captivate Polarized Green Mirror Lenses – Matte Graphite Frame you choose a classically designed pair of glasses that you can comfortably wear for hours thanks to its low weight. The frame is made of impact-resistant triloide nylon, a particularly tough plastic that absorbs a blow well. The lenses are made of selenite polycarbonate, a lens material that is virtually unbreakable and therefore lasts a long time. In addition, there is a scratch-resistant T-Shell coating on top, so the lenses suffer virtually nothing during normal use — a solid combination of sturdy frame and robust lens.

This Kingpin regulates protection against harmful sunlight through a series of coatings and filters. Glare occurs when vertical light reflects off a reflective surface such as water, a wet road or a windshield; that horizontal light is bothersome to your perception and stressful for your eyes. The polarized filter blocks precisely that horizontal light and lets only vertical light through, so you are not bothered by glare. The Captivate lens technology meanwhile brings more color and contrast to the fore for a clear image and at the same time filters out harmful light. Cleaning is also easy: the oleophobic coating prevents dust, oil, dirt and water from adhering, so you can simply wipe the lenses clean.

On the inside of the Wiley X Kingpin – Captivate Polarized Green Mirror Lenses – Matte Graphite Frame is an anti-reflective coating. Especially light that enters from the side otherwise causes disturbing reflections on the back, and that coating takes care of it. To provide extra protection for your vision on the sides, you get two sets of side panels with these glasses: a removable set and a permanent set. You simply click the removable panels on and off; you attach the permanent set with the included pin, after which it cannot be removed. This way you keep your periphery protected against harmful sun rays.
