BALLISTOL Muffler cleaner

The Ballistol silencer cleaner automatically dissolves and neutralizes combustion residues. Mufflers are particularly difficult to clean if they cannot be disassembled. Carbon mufflers with constrictions on the fins and small holes improve the performance of the muffler. However, cleaning the muffler is much more difficult - has been! With the Ballistol silencer cleaner, the residues in the dirty silencer can be easily loosened and rinsed out.

The application of the muffler cleaner is quite simple, since it works automatically and mainly needs some time to work and dissolve the dirt.

Dismountable silencers
Dismountable mufflers and mufflers that cannot be closed are placed in the muffler cleaner. With normal dirt, the residues in the silencer are dissolved after approx. 2 hours. You can then rinse out the loosened dirt with a brush and water.

The silencer cleaner is also suitable for an ultrasonic bath.

Non-dismountable silencers
Silencers that cannot be dismantled should be closed on one side. Conical barrel plugs, for example, are suitable for this. As soon as the muffler is sealed, simply fill it up completely with muffler cleaner. With normal soiling, the residues are dissolved after approx. two hours. Drain the cleaner and fill the muffler half full with water. Seal the opening and shake vigorously. In the case of more intensive soiling, the effect can be increased if the cleaner is heated to 40 °C before use and the exposure time is extended to four to eight hours.
If extreme soiling or several hundred rounds have been fired with the silencer, the exposure time can also be increased to 24 hours.

Color indicator for successful cleaning

As soon as dirt in the muffler is dissolved and neutralized, the muffler cleaner indicates this by a color change.

After cleaning

After cleaning, we recommend gun oil to preserve the silencer surface.
