EG Hard Gearbox Shell Prometheus V2 8 mm

The Prometheus EG Hard Gearbox Shell V2 8 mm is a reinforced replacement for the standard gearbox shell in an AEG airsoft replica. Because the gearbox is continuously under pressure during use, small cracks can develop in a regular shell over time — eventually resulting in a defective gearbox. A popular choice for players who use their replica intensively and want to avoid having to replace the shell repeatedly.

Prometheus deliberately took into account the points where the most stress occurs when designing this shell. The cylinder window has been given rounded corners, which reduces pressure concentration at that point and improves the shell's lifespan.

On the inside is a CNC machined aluminum panel in which the gears are placed. Handy is that you can remove this panel from the rest of the gearbox — shimming and replacing gears is done this way without touching the other components.

At the rear of the shell is a Quick Spring Change, which allows you to swap the spring without having to fully disassemble the gearbox. Text and markings have been applied to the outside, so you can quickly find parts and position them correctly.
