Two hi-gain omnidirectional microphones on the outside register ambient sound; that sound comes back to your ears via the HD speakers. The result: despite the hearing protection, you hear your surroundings almost crystal clear. If a loud sound occurs, such as a rifle shot, the SAC (sound activated compression) kicks in and mutes the Walker's Razor Slim Electronic FDE — with a reaction time of just 0.02 seconds. Composite combined with metal provides sturdy construction. It sits comfortably thanks to the headband, which is built around a sturdy metal frame. The volume knob is recessed into an indentation, so no parts stick out extra far. Via the audio port you connect the hearing protector to a two-way radio. Power comes from two AAA batteries; these are included with your delivery.
