The Prometheus Version 2 cylinder head is a replacement part for the V2 gearbox, aimed at better air sealing and a longer lifespan of your gearbox.
The component is manufactured from duralumin, an aluminium-copper alloy known for its strength, wear resistance and durability. These very properties make it suitable for the stress caused by the repeated back-and-forth movement of the nozzle. The cylinder head is CNC-milled for precise dimensioning and provided with an alumite coating that protects the material against oxidation.
On the inside, the cylinder head tapers. That tapered profile reduces air resistance, keeping power loss to a minimum.
