Compressor Hill EVO-310

Within a few minutes, pressurize a PCP weapon: that's what the Hill EVO-310 was designed for. Design and production take place in the United Kingdom, and the model is the successor to the earlier EC-3000 — the same base, but developed further in many respects.

In terms of sound, the EVO-310 ranks among the quieter compressors in its segment: only 75 dB. With it, you can pressurize air reservoirs up to 1000 cc, with an adjustable range of 50 bar (755 psi) to 310 bar (4500 psi). You set the desired value via a dial knob on the digital display, choosing between bar, psi or MPa. Once that pressure is reached, the compressor shuts itself off. The filling hose included features a ⅛" connection with male quick coupler.

A number of improvements stand out. When the motor stops, the Automatic Air Pressure Purge comes into operation: the compressor enters its cooling cycle as soon as filling is interrupted or completed, drives all air and moisture out of the system and ensures that a restart puts less strain on the motor. The Shuttle Valve has been redesigned with more robust material; that gives the compressor a slightly different sound, but makes it more efficient and longer lasting. Reading is done on an accurate digital pressure sensor in combination with an analogue pressure gauge — both precise enough that recalibration after a major service is unnecessary. The electronics and software also received an update, focused on operation and functionality.

Lubrication largely determines how long such a compressor lasts. The EVO-310 therefore operates with two separate reservoirs: one with crankcase oil and one with silicone oil for the pump. Refresh that oil every 50 running hours, and otherwise at least once a year. It can operate between 5 and 75 °C; if the temperature rises above that, the unit automatically stops to cool down and resumes filling afterwards on its own. A common choice for sport shooters who want to refill their reservoirs themselves.

This EU version of the EVO-310 has a 2-pin EU plug.

Please note: Use this compressor only for PCP reservoirs of a maximum of 1000 cc (1 litre). For filling compressed air cylinders, it is not intended.
