Chassis MDT HNT26 Folding - Remington 700 SA

MDT developed this HNT26 Folding chassis specifically for hunting for the Remington 700 SA – the first model in the range that the manufacturer tailored entirely to hunters. The inner frame is constructed from a magnesium alloy, which provides low weight without compromising rigidity and durability. Carbon fiber is incorporated at the contact points with the shooter – pistol grip, forend and stock. This material feels pleasant in the hand and remains comfortably warm to the touch even in freezing conditions. You can adjust the stock length with the included spacers, so the LOP (length of pull) is correct for every shooter. The cheek rest is also adjustable in height: loosen the two screws on the underside and you get precise eye alignment with the scope.

The pistol grip is ergonomically shaped and offers trigger operation at 90°, allowing your finger to rest naturally on the trigger. The carbon fiber stock contains foam padding, which does two things at once. Sound is dampened by it, making you less conspicuous during the hunt. And the felt recoil is reduced, so you place follow-up shots more accurately.

On the top and sides of the carbon fiber forend you will find M-LOK slots. This version also has a built-in ARCA-rail on the underside, with which you can quickly mount a bipod or tripod. Two sling mounts (sling swivel studs), one front and one rear, provide additional attachment options.

The chassis works with AICS magazines for reliable feeding. The magazine lock is conveniently integrated into the trigger guard; on the move you won't accidentally unlock it and the magazine won't fall into the dirt.

What makes this version special is the folding stock. With it you make the rifle considerably more compact, can easily take it with you on the move and it even fits in a backpack. The action itself remains tight in place thanks to the precisely manufactured V-block bedding, which keeps play and movement during firing to a minimum.
