Mounting is done via an extended, reinforced Weaver/Picatinny system, so the connection stays firmly in place. The frame is made of lightweight aluminum, while areas that wear quickly — such as the locks — have been reinforced with extra metal. A matte black anodized coating protects against corrosion.
