Vanguard VEO HD2 10x42 Binocular

With a weight of just 710 grams, the Vanguard VEO HD2 10x42 binocular is pleasantly lightweight to work with. The frame is constructed from carbon composite — a material that is strong and naturally resistant to corrosion. Around that frame is a rubber coating of Mitsubishi rubber armour, which improves grip and makes the binocular more robust in everyday use. Completely scratch-resistant and equipped with IPX7 water resistance, which means it can be held underwater up to one metre deep and for a maximum of 30 minutes without damage. This makes the VEO HD2 usable even in bad weather.

Optically, the binocular is equipped with a fixed magnification of 10x and objective lenses with a diameter of 42 mm, which allows for ample light transmission. The HOYA Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass minimises chromatic aberration, resulting in sharp images with good colour reproduction. The field of view is 11.4 metres at 100 metres distance. The fully multi-coated BaK4 roof prisms deliver a sharp image across the entire field of view, from edge to edge. To prevent condensation from forming on the inside of the lenses, the housing is filled with nitrogen — a common solution for binoculars intended for outdoor use.
