The Silent Dry Vaportack Kal. 12 is an anti-corrosion cartridge based on VCI technology (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor). VCIs are volatile chemical substances that form a protective layer on metal surfaces in an enclosed space, preventing rust formation on internal components. This keeps the inside of your shotgun rust-free for an extended period.
What distinguishes the Vaportack is its shape: identical to a standard shotgun cartridge, allowing it to fit directly into the chamber of a 12 caliber shotgun. Once placed, the VCI effect spreads through the internal spaces of the weapon. A handy color indicator system lets you know when it's time to replace the cartridge.
Beyond the firearm itself, the Vaportack can also be used in gun safes, gun cabinets and ammunition boxes to protect stored materials against corrosion. A common choice for shooters who store their weapons long-term.
