Precision Armament's Hypertap Muzzle Brake 'Slim' in stainless is a muzzle brake that significantly reduces recoil impulse. Thanks to the retaining ring, installation is possible directly without intermediate shim rings, which considerably simplifies the installation. After fastening, the four gas ports are directed horizontally to both sides, at a rearward angle of 35 degrees — this way any blown-out particles are directed away from the shooter.

On the top and bottom sides are six pre-drilled holes that must be directed straight up and down during installation. By drilling out these holes as needed, you can adjust the muzzle brake to the specific weapon: both rise and rotation can be compensated with this. This makes the Hypertap adjustable for optimal balance between recoil reduction and shooting comfort.

The difference between the 'slim' variant and the standard Hypertap lies solely in the dimensions. The smaller version offers a weight reduction of up to 40 percent — that is approximately 50 grams, depending on the caliber. Precision Armament itself indicates that the performance reduction remains limited to approximately three percentage points. For shooters who want to save weight without significant performance loss, this is a common choice.
