The MDT Elite muzzle brake for 6.5 Creedmoor and .308 Win is a solid choice for sport shooters who want to reduce recoil and improve their shot accuracy. On both sides of the muzzle brake are three ports angled at 35°, reducing recoil by up to 66%.
The material chosen is a steel alloy with nitride finishing, which provides increased hardness and good corrosion resistance. Attachment to the barrel end is via an overlapping locking nut, which holds the muzzle brake firmly in place.
Note: those who shoot with this muzzle brake will notice that the muzzle sound on the side of the shooter becomes noticeably louder. The combustion gases — and the sound that comes with them — are directed backwards to reduce recoil. Good hearing protection is therefore not a luxury.
