When you convert a Tikka T3 or T3x SA, the MDT XRS – Black chassis offers a solid foundation. The core is constructed from 6061 aluminium and is complemented by polymer panels with a rough texture. Thanks to this texture, the rifle sits comfortably in your hand and grip remains good even in changing weather conditions. For those who carry the weapon frequently: attachment points for a rifle sling are located both at the front of the foregrip and at the bottom of the stock.
Ammunition feed is via AICS magazines, for which this chassis is designed. The abbreviation AICS stands for Accuracy International Chassis System; these magazines align the cartridge precisely with the chamber, resulting in reliable and consistent feed. This benefits the consistency and accuracy of your shots – a common choice for shooters who aim for precision.
There is much to adjust on the shooting position. The cheek rest on top of the stock you adjust in height, so your eye sits properly behind the sight. If you want to adjust the LOP, you add spacers or remove them to change the length of the stock pad. You mount accessories via the M-LOK slots that are fitted on both sides and on the underside of the foregrip.
