Het bijzondere zit in het non-messing materiaal: anders dan klassieke borstels met messing laat deze borstel geen resten achter op je schoonmaakpatch of -prop. Zo weet je zeker dat een vervuilde patch ook echt op vuil in de loop wijst en niet op de borstel zelf — een betrouwbaardere uitkomst dus.
Bij kaliber .17 / 4.5 mm hoort 5/40" buitendraad; voor elk ander kaliber geldt 8/32" buitendraad.
