Would you like to expand your red dot with extra magnification? The Vector Optics Maverick Gen III 3x – SOP magnifier offers, as the name suggests, a threefold magnified image and comes including mount, so mounting it on a Weaver/Picatinny scope rail is quick and easy. For the housing, shockproof 6061 T6 aluminium with black anodised coating has been chosen, making the whole thing impact-resistant. Glare is avoided thanks to the fully multi-coated lenses, which provide a clear image. In terms of optics, you have an objective diameter of 22 mm, an eye relief of 69 mm and a field of view of 14.9 meters at a distance of 91.4 meters. A popular choice for shooters who want to make their existing dot setup more flexible.

Included is the SCTM-17 30 mm mount, fitted with a flip-to-side flip mechanism. This gives you control over when you use the magnification, without having to remove the entire mount. Flipping to the side is simple: press the button on the mount and flip the magnifier to the side with your free hand.

Positioning takes place behind your red dot. A dot that is not perfectly centred is not a problem for use, although it does contribute to a pleasant shooting experience. For adjustment you will find two adjustment wheels: one on the side for lateral adjustment and one on the top for height adjustment. Both are covered with caps, and it is precisely these caps you use to adjust — in the middle is a protruding edge that fits into the slot of the adjustment wheels. A coin or screwdriver also works perfectly well.
