Where conventional patch adapters are made of brass, Bore Tech deliberately chose a different material for these Proof-Positive patch adapters with eye. The advantage: the adapter leaves no traces on the cleaning patch or patch, something that regularly occurs with the brass variants. You therefore achieve a purer and more reliable cleaning result.
You secure a cleaning patch by piercing it in the middle on the tip. If you want more coverage, wrap the patch around the knurled part of the adapter.
For calibers .17 to .20, this adapter is provided with 5/40" external thread; for all other calibers it is 8/32" external thread.
