Two applications in one device: that's what the HikMicro Cheetah Clip-On 940 nm IR night vision viewer without reticle offers. With the eyecup on, it serves as a monocular to spot game from the hand; remove the eyecup and you mount it as a front attachment in front of an ordinary riflescope to turn it into a night vision riflescope. The version without reticle is designed for countries where a reticle is not permitted. Because the infrared lamp operates at 940 nm, game perceives the emitted IR light less readily.
What stands out with this model is how widely you can deploy it and how easy it is to use. You have four modes, so you can use it at any time of day:

The fog mode in particular stands out. HikMicro has raised infrared detection in fog to a high level through its own optical approach. The 2560x1440 UHD sensor achieves a detection range of 350 meters, in part thanks to the built-in 940 nm infrared lamp. On the 1920x1080 OLED display you then see a detailed image with a frame rate of 25 Hz.
You power the Cheetah Clip-On with the rechargeable battery, and via the USB-C connection you can couple it to an external power source if desired. Photo, video and sound are recorded to the 64 GB internal memory. Handy for hunting: it has recoil activation, whereby the recoil of the rifle starts a recording. A versatile choice for those active in the field at night.
