De Code Red Assault keelmicrofoon is ontwikkeld voor situaties waarin helder communiceren moeilijk is door omgevingslawaai. Bijzonder aan dit systeem is dat je ook fluisterend verstaanbaar blijft voor de ontvanger — handig wanneer discretie vereist is.
Rondom de nek zit een verstelbare band met twee microfoons die trillingen van de keel registreren in plaats van geluid uit de lucht. Dat maakt het systeem gevoelig voor je stem, maar vrijwel immuun voor achtergrondgeluid.
De meegeleverde PTT-knop (push-to-talk) is voorzien van een stevige clip aan de achterkant, zodat je hem op een handige plek kunt bevestigen. Bedienen gaat ook met handschoenen aan zonder problemen.
