The wool has been sourced from South Africa since 2021 and carries a certificate of origin. This shirt performs equally well as a standalone layer or as part of a multi-layered system, making it a versatile base piece for hunting and outdoor activities. The shirt's defining strength is its robust wool density of 155 g/m², substantially higher than most competitors offer. This delivers exceptional durability and prevents irritation from backpack straps during extended, demanding hunting days. The merino wool across the back is intentionally extended to keep the kidneys warm and eliminate cold air gaps. Pure merino wool delivers inherent advantages: it efficiently wicks sweat, acts as thermal storage, maintains warmth even when wet, and its natural lanolin content inhibits bacterial growth. This means odour simply does not develop—a decisive benefit when game can detect your approach. After a weekend at the hunting lodge, no offensive sweat odour will be present. To maximise garment life, wash infrequently and avoid hot water. Regular airing in fresh outdoor air is usually sufficient. Use a gentle wash programme at 30°C, avoid bleach, and do not machine dry.
