The trousers are equipped with robust, highly abrasion-resistant reinforced panels featuring a water-repellent membrane (8,000 mm water column) in the seat and knee areas, protecting against moisture when kneeling or sitting on damp ground. A DWR impregnation across the fabric provides additional water and dirt resistance. Ventilation zips on the outer thighs prevent heat buildup and allow individual airflow control as conditions demand. Preformed knee zones enhance wearing comfort, while hidden lacing hooks maintain a neat appearance. Practical features support field use: two zippered hand pockets, a side cargo pocket with zip closure, and a ribbed waistband for secure fit. Extended 23-centimetre zips at the leg openings simplify dressing and undressing in the field. The outer leg vents deliver targeted ventilation when needed.
