The third generation of the Palearctic MNTN (Mountain) women's trousers represents a comprehensive upgrade over its predecessor: more robust, increasingly breathable, and substantially lighter. Engineered for the dedicated female mountain and stalk hunter active throughout the year, this Merkel Gear trouser combines exceptional breathability with unrestricted movement. The foundation is a specially developed double-weave stretch fabric—cross-flexible and exceptionally durable—paired with waterproof, breathable reinforced knee and seat sections in robust Oxford nylon featuring a 37.5™ membrane (20,000 mm / 20,000 g/m²). This combination delivers proven performance when freedom of movement is paramount. The fit has been fundamentally redesigned for this generation: comfortably spacious through the waist and tapering toward the calf, with triple-preformed knees and interior seams offset to the hem for boot compatibility. The new Inside-Seam cargo pocket construction sheds rain effectively while maintaining a refined aesthetic. The stretch fabric benefits from enhanced durability and premium DWR treatment against moisture. A precisely engineered waistband now incorporates two belt loops in different sizes, with a silicone-coated inner band to keep your shirt secure. Storage includes two ergonomically positioned side pockets, a rear pocket (all sealed with silent zippers), and pre-fitted cargo pockets accommodating the supplied ammunition flap. Four-centimeter side ventilation zippers with YKK® automatic sliders extend to the knee, providing essential airflow during sustained exertion. Integrated waterproof inner gaiters protect against snow and ticks, finished with robust boot hooks that tuck discreetly into fabric tabs. Heavy-gauge double stitching ensures longevity, reinforced by a generously sized crotch gusset for lasting comfort.
