The combination of mulesing-free merino wool with a modest polyester content ensures optimal functionality and durability across extended use. Designed as a mid-layer, the Crew Shirt performs equally well worn alone over a merino base layer or as an effective replacement for a light jacket on cooler evenings. Like all pieces in the collection, the back is substantially extended to eliminate drafts when you're in a bent shooting or stalking position. Strategic merino-mesh inserts (also approximately 240 g/m²) at the elbows and underarms provide superior ventilation and maintain consistent performance throughout the day. The close-fitting crew neck seals without chafing, while an extended full-length front zip enables precise temperature control from the neckline to the chest. Pre-curved sleeve cuffs feature soft thumb holes with reinforced double stitching for effortless donning and a secure wrist seal. Merino wool insulates effectively even when damp and naturally suppresses odor formation—properties no synthetic performance fabric can match. Care: Machine wash delicate cycle 30°C, do not heat press, press without steam.
