Merkel Gear Reversible Jacket HELIX

The reversible HELIX fleece jacket from Merkel Gear is a windproof two-sided fleece garment purpose-built for contemporary hunting practice. Its exceptionally robust fleece quality and thoughtful construction make it an outstanding choice for active hunters who spend extended time in the field. The fleece material employed is approximately 30% stronger and considerably more durable than standard fleece, with excellent anti-pilling characteristics. Combined with the windproof and highly water-repellent WND-X membrane, this creates an exceptionally functional fabric construction suitable year-round. The design team ensured the jacket functions optimally when worn with a rucksack: the raglan sleeves are specifically tailored so seams do not dig in during longer carries. The cut is modern yet roomy enough to layer the BOREAS jacket equipped with G-LOFT® underneath, making this combination winter-ready. The lower pockets feature extended YKK® zippers positioned higher than standard, allowing comfortable access even beneath a wide rucksack strap. This positioning has the practical advantage that water runs down your elbows rather than pooling in your pockets. The hand warmer design includes reinforced stretch fabric dividers that prevent keys and sharp ammunition from migrating between compartments. Each reversible side is fitted with two chest pockets sized for dog GPS trackers and similar devices. Both pockets close with concealed YKK zippers and are virtually unobtrusive when sealed. Small fabric loops on the raglan sleeves provide routing points for long GPS antenna leads. Additional features include covered thumb holes, a reinforced elastic waistband, and a reflector strip on the rear seam. Care: standard machine wash at 30°C (refer to garment care label)
