Equipped with 1/8" internal thread, the brush connects securely to compatible cleaning rods with 5 mm diameter, providing a stable, reliable connection during the cleaning process. Designed for flexible use, this brush handles more than three different bullet calibres without requiring tool changes—ideal for shooters working with multiple firearms. The natural bristles apply controlled pressure to guide the cleaning patch into the bore profile, delivering thorough, uniform cleaning that removes fouling and residue significantly more effectively than patches used without a brush. This combination approach ensures the bore profile is properly scoured while protecting bore integrity. For best results, apply weapon oil to the bore first, followed by BALLISTOL Universal Oil. Next, use a bronze brush to break up fouling, then remove loose debris with the JW bore cleaning patch. Patch requirements vary by calibre: .22, .223, and .243 typically require half a patch per cleaning cycle, while .270 requires one full patch.
