The Wildlutscher Special lick stone in sweet dark maize was developed primarily as bait for wild boar, though it is readily accepted by red deer, roe deer, and other hoofed game. The dark colour provides effective camouflage in the field and makes the stone equally suitable for areas where game reacts warily to light-coloured objects. Due to the hardness of the material, the lick stone remains effective for several weeks. With adequate rain protection—such as a roof or shelter board—you can significantly extend its service life. The intense, long-lasting aroma works like a magnet: game is attracted from considerable distances and returns repeatedly to the location. The lick stone also brings stability to your territory management because you avoid constant restocking visits. It serves as a fixed contact point for game in your hunting area without the disturbance caused by frequent human presence. Mount the stone to a tree using an M20 bolt and nut, optionally secured with rope or chain. For optimal stability, Wildlutscher recommends installation on a bracket or post with a protective roof. Protect against direct rainwater and adjust height according to species: wild boar 0.80–1.20 m, roe deer and fallow deer 1.20–1.40 m, red deer 1.20–1.60 m.
