BSV Saaten WaidGreen® Wildwiese Seed Mixture

The WaidGreen® Wildwiese is a permanent grassland seed mixture specially formulated for both large and small game. Combining legumes, grasses and supplementary crops, this blend establishes a nutritious and palatable sward that thrives even on moderately poor soil. The composition comprises 31% nitrogen-fixing legumes including lucerne, red clover, white clover and various clover species; 53% grass varieties such as timothy, English ryegrass in multiple maturity groups, red fescue and other productive species; and 16% additional crops including buckwheat. This balanced formulation ensures sustained forage quality throughout the season. The mixture is suitable for fallow and red deer, as well as gamebirds such as partridge and grouse. When establishing partridge habitat, it can be supplemented with the WaidGreen herb mixture at 0.2 kg seed per 1000 m². The Wildwiese also performs excellently for silage and hay production. On poor soils, this mixture demonstrates particular resilience and productivity, making it an ideal choice for marginal land improvement. For optimal establishment, sow between May and August at 5 kg per 1000 m², at a depth of 1 cm. Mulching in autumn is recommended, with optional re-cutting to maintain sward quality.
