Let the cable slide through the bore until it emerges from the muzzle end, then grip the copper section, wrap the cable once around your hand, and pull the cleaning cable completely out of the bore. Repeat this process several times—typically three to five pull strokes are sufficient—until the bore is completely clean. For best results, apply cleaning solvent to the cable before cleaning.
